I have been playing piano since I was 8 years old, and have been involved in the education sector since 2012.
I have had plenty of experience in performance, especially in the piano including these areas below.
My first experience in teaching was during my placement year at Barnsley College, in which I was given a supporting role in teaching a weekly music theory class.
This was followed up by a 50 Hour placement during my final year module "Teaching Music". This involved supporting and leading lessons at Royds Hall High School, and also supporting the school choir. During this time I also accompanied the choir at a Christmas performance at Halifax Minster in 2012.
During my PGCE year I led 100 hours of lessons at Barnsley College, this covered subjects such as composition, performance, keyboard skills and also 1-to-1 performance lessons.
I have been concentrating on teaching piano since January 2015 and have brought students through Grade 1 and 2 exams in that time.
